Projekt-Beratung & Audits

An independent second opinion on schedules, project organisation and forecasts, as a QM or PM audit, a schedule review or an assessment before investment decisions.

An independent view before it gets expensive

Ahead of approvals, claims and investment decisions the decisive question is rarely whether a plan exists. It is whether the plan holds. We review schedules, project organisation and reporting independently of day-to-day project work and set out what a decision can be based on and what it cannot.

What you get

  • A written, evidenced verdict on planning quality, including the full DCMA 14 assessment.

  • Prioritised actions instead of a defect list: what has to be repaired first and what can wait.

  • An assessment of the forecast: how reliable is the stated completion date?

  • Arguments that hold up in the steering committee, the supervisory body and with contract partners.

Formats

The smallest format is a schedule review delivered within days. A full PM audit additionally covers organisation, processes, risk and change management as well as interviews with the people involved. Both formats end in a written report of assessment, evidence and recommendations.

How an audit runs

  1. Scoping

We agree the audit questions, the scope and the recipients of the report. An audit without a clear question only produces paper.

  2. Data collection

We review plans, contracts, reports and minutes and interview the people involved in the project.

  3. Assessment

We assess structurally to DCMA 14 and substantively against project goals, contracts and risks.

  4. Report

You receive findings, evidence and prioritised actions in writing, presented to your committee on request.

Frequently asked questions about project advisory

How long does a schedule review take?

With complete data we deliver a pure schedule review in three to five working days. A PM audit with interviews and an assessment of the organisation takes two to six weeks depending on project size. We agree the scope beforehand so the report answers the questions that are actually pending.

Does CEPT audit schedules CEPT produced itself?

No, we keep production and assessment strictly separate. An audit is only an independent second opinion if it does not assess our own work. For projects where we are responsible for scheduling, we recommend commissioning the audit elsewhere.

Which documents are needed for an audit?

To start, the current schedule file, the corresponding baseline and the most recent project reports are enough. A full audit additionally needs contracts, the risk and change registers and access to the people involved. We treat all documents confidentially and return or delete them once the audit is closed.
